Play swf files in powerpoint 2010

Where did it go? Has anyone else run into this? I'm not looking for a way to convert a SWF into a video that can be embedded or using a 3rd-party plug-in or anything like that. I know how to do those things. I'm specifically looking to insert a SWF using only what's built into PowerPoint and Flash, so if anyone has info on it, please let me know! If you have a x64bit version of Office then you are out of luck. Click OK to confirm. Now go to the newly added Developer tab, click More controls , which is the icon on the bottom-right corner.

Then your cursor will become a small cross, drag it to draw the area that you want to insert a flash. Scroll down to find Movie , and enter the complete path including the file name and format of the flash into the textbox beside it. Then click OK. On the presentation window, click Developer Tab. Click the More Controls icon in the Controls group. After that, the mouse cursor shape will become a small cross. Click on the slide and drag the mouse, this will draw a rectangle on the slide.

Optional If necessary, select the file and drag it to a new location on the slide. Next to one of the files in the list, select the Control Using Presentation Playbar option. Click OK. Delete SWF files from slides and sidebar. Click the name of the SWF file to delete. Click Delete. Click Yes to confirm. Import video. Select the slide to which you want to add the video file. Navigate to the video file you want to add to the slide. Select the video file. Under Import Options, select a Quality option from the menu.

Optional To change the slide on which the video is imported, use the Import On menu to select a different slide. Select Slide Video or Sidebar Video. Optional Select Preview to see a small version of the video file directly in the Import Video dialog box.
