April Hi, i got the sims 2 ultimate edition from an ea advisor and aince 3 days, when i start my game, everything works fine and when i choose a household everything is fine too but sometimes it crashed but today, i bought clothes in a comunity lot and since then, it jeeps crashing when i start my game and enter the household.
I downloaded some custom content so i was wondering if it could make my game crash. I tried the trobleshoot thing to open the program in another windows version windows vista and it keeps crashing anyway. I cant play it. What do i have to do? I have the sims2 disc but i cannot play it because my pc does not have a disc holder thing…the only way for me to get the sims2 is for me to have it digitally but they dont have that anymore…what do you suggest? The only way to get a legal copy of The Sims 2 is to get the disc version.

Try turning testing cheats on and an error box should pop up when your Sim resets. Hi Matina! It sounds like you have Origin set to install in a different location. Go to Application Settings from the Origin menu and check to see where it is installing. That should tell you where your game files are. It would reappear if you moved the screen slightly, but it would do this every time.
That resulted in the game crashing instantly, so I had to uninstall and reinstall the game 3 times. I then just installed the 4GB patch only. The game started just fine this time, but the flashing was still there.

Hi Karolina! If you have the Ultimate Collection, my first suggestion would be to repair the game through Origin.

I have also tried disabling the shaders in game and while that does make some of the pink textures go away, not all of them do and the sims themselves are still completely pink t-poses. Today, I turned the game on and then took an almost 2 hours nap letting the game run. Moment I load a lot, it was flashing pink, then crash after leaving to the neighborhood. Thats the Windows 10 bug, right? So the graphic rule maker does not work, the violet glitch still appears and the game crashes still from time to time …. Sooo afterwards i moved the exe-file to the CSBin-Folder. Now the game uses MB Memory, it does not crash anymore. That means i cant use full texture memory and the violet glitch still appears … i dont know what to do anymore. I sadly cant play the game atm.
